$50.00 – $155.00Join us for a night of all things recycling! Our speaker will be Jessica Alexanderson.
Known as “Scuba Jess,” she is the founder and Executive Director of The Recycling Society, a national nonprofit that connects schools with local metal recyclers through the Million Cans Recycling Contest. The program has inspired students to recycle more than 6.5 million aluminum cans and is expanding to 72 schools across 19 states for the 2026–2027 school year.
Before launching The Recycling Society, Jessica spent 15 years working in international shipping. Her passion for ocean conservation began through scuba diving in the Pacific Northwest, where she witnessed the impact of pollution on marine ecosystems.
Jessica is also the co-author of The Girl Who Recycled 1 Million Cans, a children’s book that helps young readers understand the importance of recycling and the metals industry. Through education, industry partnerships and a little recycling magic, she empowers students to become recycling superheroes and shows them that small actions can create an extraordinary impact.
